L-evate Life Law of Clarity

It’s been a few days since I’ve written due to being on the road again. As we look at developing a financial plan for our lives, let’s remember one important principle – we are exactly where we are because of decisions we have made. No one else is to blame but us. I know that’s a hard pill to swallow, but it’s important for us to understand that. Whenever I begin to complain about the situation I am in and start to feel like a victim, I remember the words of a singing philosopher named Jeremy Lister, “You lie in the bed you made” (check out his song on the connecting site, forward it to 2:25 on the time marker, listen to it and remember it well).
No one is to blame for where you are except you, and no one else can change your situation except you. Choices make changes, and we are the ones who make the choices. Just think about it … what kind of life can we make if we don’t have a life mission or purpose, a life strategy with goals and plans, or a comprehensive financial plan? How can we ever expect to be safe and prosperous without a legal will, adequate insurance protection, and plans for our children’s education, savings and investment, retirement and long term care? How can we ever expect to “make it” if we don’t even know what “IT” is or if we don’t know all that is involved in Making a Real Life? As we look at all of the steps involved in developing a financial plan, and then a life strategy and life mission statement, let’s continually realize how vital it is to live intentionally and with clarity. Let’s also remember the L-evate Life Law of Clarity:
YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO “MAKE IT” IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT “IT” IS
Maybe it’s time to wake up and get out of that bed that you are laying in. Maybe it’s time for some changes … and that means learning some new principles and making some fresh choices!
